KURZVITA: Nach dem Abitur Studium der Kunst und Visuellen Kommunikation mit Schwerpunkt Film. Anschließend war Christoph Weinert von 1991 bis 1995 Regieassistent bei verschiedenen Spielfilmproduktionen in Frankreich und Deutschland. Seit 1996 arbeitet er als freier Regisseur und Drehbuchautor. Mit seinem Film ACHT GESCHWISTER, der bei den 56. Internationalen Hofer Filmtagen im Oktober 2022 Premiere feierte und im Februar 2023 in den deutschen Kinos startete, prägte er den Begriff des ‘non-fiktionalen Erzählkinos‘. Derzeit entwickelt er mehrere Stoffe für den deutschen und internationalen Kino- und TV-Markt. Christoph Weinert lebt und arbeitet in Hamburg und Berlin. ➜ CV / français

SHORT VITA: After graduating from high school, Christoph Weinert studied fine art and visual communication majoring in film. He then worked as an assistant director on various feature film productions in France and Germany from 1991 to 1995. Since 1996 he has been working as a freelance director and screenwriter. With his film EIGHT BROTHERS AND SISTERS, which premiered at the 56th International Hof Film Festival in October 2022 and was released in German cinemas in February 2023, he introduced the term 'non-fictional narrative cinema'. He is currently developing several materials for the German and international cinema and TV market. Christoph Weinert is based in Hamburg and Berlin.
