Henning Beckhoff was born in 1991 in Germany and lives in Berlin. His graduation film OFF SEASON (Film University Babelsberg) was shown at the Berlinale, was nominated for the First Steps Award and won the Michael Ballhaus Prize. His first feature film FÜNF DINGE, DIE ICH NICHT VERSTEHE was brought to cinema by the Filmgalerie 451 in November 2019 and won various awards in Germany. Henning Beckhoff was a participant in the Berlinale Talents and received a Wim Wenders grant to promote innovative cinematic storytelling. He was participating in the Residence du Festival de Cannes and at the Berlinale Script Station. In 2022 he will shoot his debut film FOSSIL with ZDF - Das kleine Fernsehspiel and is invited by the Goethe Institute to the Villa Kamogawa in Japan.
